At Preston Manor, music is a major aspect of school life. All pupils are offered the opportunity to learn an instrument when they enter the school, either during the week or as part of the Preston Manor Music Academy. We have a strong team of thirteen highly qualified and experienced instructors teaching a wide variety of instruments.
The Saturday Music Academy aims to provide a stimulating and focused musical environment in which pupils are encouraged to become well-rounded musicians, working co-operatively with others and learning a wide range of transferable skills. All pupils at the Academy have instrumental lessons, take part in the orchestra or general musicianship classes, sing in a choir and have lessons in musical theory. The Music Department has a strong tradition of performances both in school and the wider community.

Staff Performances
