Severe Weather Conditions

In the event of severe weather conditions please call the following number for information on whether the school will be open.  Please do not call the main switchboard number.

3.         Listen to the message

Families can also use the Opencheck scheme to check whether the school is open.  Please choose one of the following ways to access Opencheck :

                phone - 020 8408 7508 and key in 3045410

                visit - www.opencheck.lgfl.net, choose Brent, Preston Manor School 

If the school has to close due to severe weather conditions, the information will be updated by 7am on the morning of the closure.

EQUIPMENT EXPECTATIONS

All students are expected to come to school each day with the necessary equipment to take an active part in their lessons.

During every morning registration a REP check will be carried out to ensure that all students have the following items with them:

• Reading Book
• Equipment
• Planner

Essential Equipment

• Planner (provided by the school)
• Pencil Case
• Black or blue ball point pen
• Pencil
• Pencil eraser and pencil sharpener
• Ruler 30cm
• Coloured pencils
• Calculator
• Reading Book

Tippex or other correction fliuds are not allowed in school.

Text books and equipment may be issued on loan to students at the discretion of staff. 

Students will be expected to pay for any loss or damage to school equipment.

School bags must be plain navy or black with no designer labels or motifs. They must be big enough to hold A4 folders.

Mobile phones, personal stereos, ear-pieces and MP3 players are forbidden in school and the school will not accept any responsibility for items that are lost at school.

Governing Body

Preston Manor has six parent governors on the Governing Body.  If a parent wishes to contact a Parent Governor they should do so via the Clerk to the Governors at the school address.
