Year 13 Entry Requirements
Students who are enrolled on the two year A Level Course must meet the minimum entry requirements of three D grades at AS Level, in order to continue with the A2 programme in September. Where students have completed four AS level subjects, they continue with the three subjects in which they achieved the higher grades. Students who achieve an E grade in any AS subject(s) are NOT permitted to continue with the subject(s) at A level. In addition, students who achieve the top grades in their AS subjects, may be permitted to continue with four A levels in year 13, in negotiation with the VI Form Management.
Students who fail to meet the minimum entry requirements for the A Level Course are advised to seek an alternative programme of study at other Further Education Institutions. In exceptional circumstances only, students may be seen by a member of the VI Form Management to discuss possible options for remaining at Preston Manor.
Prior to receiving their AS exam results, students will be advised as to the enrolment procedures for all returning A Level students.
