SNAG (School Nutrition Action Group)

School Nutrition Action Group (SNAG)

In 2010, a consultation group was set up as part of our commitment to Brent Enhanced Healthy Schools. This group meets termly in order to develop a coordinated approach to improving the quality of food and drink in order to increase the uptake of    a healthier diet and ensure consistent messages  from the curriculum and the food service.           The SNAG group is made up of representatives from the whole school community, staff, pupils and caterers, supported by health and education professionals.

Food for Life

The school was awarded Bronze ‘Food for Life'  status in 2011 and is committed to working towards the silver standard.

Free Fruit Monday  

As part of the Schools committment to ensuring that both staff and students get their recommended '5 a day'  of fruit or vegetables, the school introduced FFM. Students and staff are offered complimentary fruits on the 1st Monday of each month. FFM has been funded by a Brent Enhanced Healthy Schools grant, and heavily promoted with an eye-catching poster campaign,
