Trip to Copas P.Y.O. Farm

It was wicked spending more time with my mentor in the countryside

Mr Carboo, Yr. 12 Peer Mentors and his mentees visited Copas P.Y.O. Farm as part of the end of year mentoring celebration.

This trip was to celebrate the end of a successful year of peer mentoring for students from our famous 6th form and their mentees from key stage 3.  The student council parts funded this trip and were also present to show their support for the mentoring process.

The peer mentors and mentees travelled by coach to Copas Pick Your Own (PYO) farm in Buckinghamshire. Peer mentor and mentees enjoyed picking strawberries together in the muddy fields, a picnic in the sunny countryside and also a very entertaining group game of ‘How well do I know my Mentee?’  The day was finished off with a mass game of football (Mentor Vs Mentees) which ended as a draw! (Nice)

I really enjoyed picking the strawberries

The day was a huge success with students reporting how much they enjoyed the day and spending some quality time with each other in a totally different environment.

Everyone was really nice and I had fun with lots of new people

I’ve never been to the countryside before but I loved it
