Key Stage 3

Key stage 3 Curriculum Outline

Our core curriculum in Key Stage 3 consists of English, Maths, Science , Art, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, ICT, Physical Education, PSHE and Religious Education. In Years 7 and 8, students study one hour of Literacy and Food Studies and Design and Technology through take out classes. In Year 9 students study a one hour carousel of Food Studies, Design and Technology, Financial capability and IT functional skills. The school week consists of twenty-five 60 minute learning blocks. In year 7, 8 and 9, these 25 lessons are divided as shown below:
